Anyone know why these roads were called by these names please?

Looking at the map, there's no obvious reason for the names. It looks like the roads hadn't been finished in 1937 and there's an advert for two houses built by F H Turner in 1936 and something about lighting in 1935. I don't know the policy at the time - build the roads and then get builders to stock them with houses or get the builders to build the roads and the houses. I suspect that the council started the process and then farmed the plots out, so presumably the council people chose the names. Maybe after family or favourite place? You might find something at the archive here set for Erithway. If you scroll through you need to look for the earliest dates. 1933 seems to be when number 1 was recorded. 1-7 sold by C.H. Gregory-Hood, in 1934.

There is an old post in"street/road names and their origins " Post 20 says the initials of the roads are in alphabetical order. Does not answer the question but may be a clue
