Thanks,Yet another piece of memory put in place I can include in my history. I would have stopped going there in '66 so I don't remember it moving to Bailey Lane. I believe they also kept large scale maps of Coventry there that I remember consulting for a school geography project.

Not strictly Cow Lane but the old row that has been captured on this thread before (inc. my post#32) which led on to Cheylesmore can also be viewed on this one (well the roof-tops!) 1953 on Cheylesmore standing outside the Labour Exchange. The old Cheylesmore Works would have been to the right though was all blitzed. Off to the far right would be Little Park Street -

Chap called Jeffrey Stevenson on FB did this sketch of derelict buildings awaiting demolition in January 1967. I'm pretty sure it's the southern end of Cow Lane -

The car on the left in Post 80 is a Jaguar Mark 10 which was relatively new in 1967. They were a very large car with a big engine and an enormous thirst for petrol. When new they were expensive executive cars but by the 1970's they were much favoured by publicans, just the thing for trip to the cash and carry or to carry a few crates of beer to an outside bar.

I have to agree, a proper Jag the Mk10, equal with the E-Type, with the 420G very close behind.
