Hi Dreamtime & Hi all Wave Some of the models & layouts on You-Tube are breath-taking, Dreamtime, you are so right. The sounds are impressive too. Our Hall Brooks railway is analogue controlled at present so I cannot have chipped locos. What I can have though is a relay chip, which instead of producing the sound of that loco in its own miniature speaker built into the loco, I hope to be able to reproduce the sound through Hi-Fi speakers positioned in the railway room. I was so impressed when I first heard this demonstrated, controlled on a laptop computer, from the train controller. In the mean time, for our friend I have a pick as promised of a "Hunslet" saddle tank loco paired with a shunter truck, whilst the crew have gone for a cuppa during shunting at Longford. Wave

Hi all, Wave Our travelling forum ladies cannot believe that their journey to Bournemouth, in glorious winter sunshine will be made behind a pristine condition Jubilee class loco that will take them all the way to Reading. They are then hopeful for a Merchant Navy class to complete their journey, for a delightful weekend away. A special get well soon message to all of our under the weather members this morning. Get well soon! Thumbs up

Hi all Wave A picture that I hope that our friend Dutchman will enjoy, of one time Coventry shedded Black Five, deputizing on a service normally allocated for a Jubilee class loco which had disappeared down south towards Oxford. Oh my

Hello Phillip. This is Derek from our breakfast meet-up. I have just watched your Hunslet loco's with my friend Bob, he has thoroughly enjoyed looking at your lay-outs. He wishes to know if you would like to borrow his copy of the history of the Hunslet company ? Once again thank you Derek and Bob.

Noticed this has been advertised for the Ricoh "Stadium" later this year and thought it sounded interesting Model Railway Show Bizarrely it appears to be on at the same time as the N gauge show at the Leamington Exhibition Centre

Hi all Wave With my synths & pedals now gone, a new vantage point pic of Hounds Hill station, originally called Five Field Lane, as that is where it is supposed to be geographically located. The camera is facing in the direction of Penny Park, junction, Bramble Lane station, Three Spires junction & on to Coventry. Slide show

Hi all, Due to the overwhelming number of posts relating to this subject and in particular to Philips wonderful layout, it has been decided to transfer these posts to this separate thread. The original topic - now named "Railways and Canals around Coventry" can still be found here.

Hi Dutchman, Wave Thank you. The earliest of those pics goes back to 2001. The nice thing about our model is, like any story, picture or painting, we can pretend it is summer all year. Wave
