I'm not sure which was Hales Street Court 1 but I think that it ran north from the Swanswell Gate. It used to be called Gardener's Yard if that helps.

Looking at the directory for 1886 the names were Anslow, Porter, Asley and Neward. Given that court 1 is next to the person in the gate, it looks like the 4 cottages are the ones at the end of the Court 1 running north, next to the wall.

Maybe no connection but nearby 'fish dealer' was Wakes on the corner of Trinity Street/Hales Street.
