The Vivarail unit is due to run from Nuneaton to Tyseley today (Sunday 18th) via Coventry 12:36 and Leamington. My guess is this could be the last run this year. Peter.

It appears from this that Santa's sleigh was nearly 7 minutes late departing Coventry Arena Station Big grin

There was one of these refurbished underground trains parked by Central Six this evening, around 6:30. It wasn't in flames. Don't they use ex-Underground trains on Alderney?

Hmmm ? Overground underground stock District line stock, D78 using existing traction motors fed from generators driven by the diesel engines. 630vdc. this far north of Willesden (not DC lines of course).

Island Line runs on the Isle of Wight serving the towns of Ryde, Brading, Sandown, Lake and Shanklin.

You never know, at this rate they might refurb that carriage from the underground they have up at that Electric Train Museum by the Airport! Smile

This all sounds like a bit of cost-cutting rather than a proper solution.
