Wasn't Nigel Fletcher (Lieutenant Pigeon) once signalman at Coundon Road?

Quite simply it was totally redundant and a target for vandals. A sad but realistic statement of the situation.

Can't believe that, even the lever frame has not been saved from the claw, it both saddens me and disgusts me.

He certainly was, for most of the 1980s, before moving on to Greaves Siding at Bishops Itchington, on the former GWR main line between Leamington and Banbury.

I was always actually suprised by how graffiti-free it appeared.

Nice find Deano Seem hilarious in today's light with the use of the word 'extravagance' in reference to Cov station! Watching steam trains at the modern station looks like two different centuries to me.

That was fascinating. I like the station, as well, it has been looked after. Wasn't the old station bombed?

It was badly damaged but quickly rebuilt more or less as it was before the war.
