I like the picture with the report. You could easily achieve the same by photographing a white billiard ball on a black background using flash, but with your colour balance set to tungsten.

It's hard to believe the universe came from the BIG-BANG, and then leave a superb organization where laws become fixed. And then in time, ok! a long time man came on the scene to look and stand in awe at what he is seeing. It just makes me wonder if we really are alone.

Five planets visible simultaneously. For the first time in 11 years, five planets - Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn - will be visible simultaneously. The rare occurrence is set to take place before dawn on Wednesday, January 20, when the celestial show lights up the pre-dawn skyline.

Hi all & thank you Midland Red, What for me is so amazing, isn't just the splendour of such a sight, but it's the mathematics used to calculate the positions. It is even more intricate where as here the huge giants Jupiter & Saturn are included. The force that this phenomena has on the sun as well as the individual planets is mind-blowing for me. Most of us have tied a weight to a piece of string & then hurled it around & around. Try doing that, at the same time as trying to hold your hand steady. Now increase the weight at the end of the piece of string & do it again, once again, trying to keep your hand steady, even using both hands. It's nearly impossible. Its like having an out-of-balance wheel or flywheel. That is exactly the force that is put on to our sun. As massive as the sun is, the force of the planets pulls the sun, thousands of miles out of kilter. It also distorts the shape of the sun, as it does to the planets. The same as our moon does to us, causing the tides as well as distorting our globe. I don't pretend to understand all of the sciences involved, but it does not stop my fascination of the universe that we live in.

I think the Universe had to be designed, any system which has fixed unified laws that allow our planetary system to function with such mathematical certainty, that scientists can predict where a planet will be in a thousand years time, is pure evidence of a intelligent designer, and not blind chance.
