Forum Breakfast Meet-ups

Yes, thanks to everyone who attended on Saturday, especially the Orlands for the treat and smashing waitress service from Bev! I do enjoy a forum breakie!

Hi all, I did a lunchtime inspection of our breaky-venue today. A full roast dinner for £6.99. It was booooootiful. The lengths that we go to, fulfilling our forum tummy obligations.

Spring is... springing! Well, hopefully, so what better than to plan for the next forum breakie. I don't think I'll need to ask the Orlands or Derek and Philip is always glad to do our forum breakie research, so where and when for the next one, Cov-lovers?

As much as I would longingly, lovingly, make it my shout, to be there, it's so late in the evening and talking about food gives me the bellyache. I really shouldn't have had that late pickle sandwich. I don't think it takes much to please Philip so long as it's good hearty food. From what I read he is an expert in choosing the right places. Have fun everyone.

I'd love to come but the Herbert archives look like they're shut till April. Assuming things go to plan. While I love seeing you guys, two two hour drives for breakfast are too much like hard work, especially if I have to get up at 6:30. Meanwhile I have a small holiday to go on and like the Much Park Street gatehouse I have a new roof pending. That will take me up to mid-April.

How does March 25th sound? Or would we prefer after Easter?

Any alternative venues to Flying Standard? Last time I journeyed up, it was too crowded and noisy for my liking

March 25th would not be good for me. I'm already committed to a petanque coaching day. After Easter would be better.

Easter Monday is April 10th this year so how about April15th then? I'm easy on the venue - one to suit all if anyone knows a good alternative?

Right, I'm going to set April 15th for now. Open to suggestions on the venue and this might change, dependent on Ben's invitation to view his department. If we merge with a forum breaky morning, it'll be on me, Ben!

I'm going to try as hard as possible to be there. I'm at the mercy of the roofer. Choirboy is able to come that Saturday too.
