I can make April 15th at The Flying Standard but not the Parkside bit unless there is some parking there. I have to drive and park at the West Orchard multistorey for the meal.

I'm not averse to sharing a taxi to Ben's lair and back if there are some who'd like to go but don't fancy the trek. I was planning to park at the Salt Lane car park which is pricier but closer to Parkside.

There are some car parks at Parkside but I'm not sure if they are general public. I'm sure Ben can tell us. I'll be riding my bike in unless you need that lift Philip? Happy to walk from The Flying Standard.

Hi Neil, Thank you. I will make every effort to get there. Trains might be running, so I will get a fast train via Dover & Basingstoke. An alternative route is via Macclesfield.

Dear all There's a Uni car park plus street parking on Parkside. I'll enquire about parking - there's a pass for one car I have, so perhaps a car share for those needing to drive might work. The walk is through the underpass by the old toy museum onto Short Street, and it's right there on the corner. I'll have some interesting things for you to look at by then. 1. New Arthur Cooper plates 2. PWL Thompson negatives 3. Richard Sadler cathedral negative collection 4. Wingrave plates Hopefully you'll all enjoy it.

Looks like you will be having a good turn out this month, hope you all have very enjoyable time. Just thought I would remind you that in index of the book "Coventry Past and Passing" Walter Wingrave has made comments on his plates in the book. It will be fascinating for you to look at the originals. Enjoy.

Perhaps if you had one sometime outside the city. I don't drive now and I am afraid parking in a city is too much of a faff now for us OAPs. I will be with you in spirit though. Smile

I'm sure we could arrange that Anne. This next one is only because we could take-up Ben's kind invitation after. I'm always willing to help with lifts if anyone ever needs one as well Thumbs up

Dear all I hope you are well. I'm in negotiations with the Coventry Archive over the Wingrave plates. Dippy, plus heating failure, means that the archive isn't that accessible. I'll keep you updated. Ben

Dear all Wingrave update - I have not got the plates. We're going to scan them at the Herbert in May. I do have prints from former Telegraph photographer Chris Ross - these were taken from copies at the Telegraph - and lots of Cooper too, but sorry for the news. See you all Saturday.
