At the start of this topic people remembered the miniature railway which ran in the Memorial Park. This line ended up at the Ryton Pools country park where it is still operated by Coventry Model Engineering Society (see website). It is open between Easter and October on Sundays between 1pm and 4pm. The other miniature railway mentioned is the Echills Wood Railway (see website) which is a seven and a quarter inch gauge line situated within Kingsbury Water Park. This railway operates on Sundays, Bank Holidays, Special Events, and on additional Wednesdays and Fridays during Warwickshire school holidays in July and August.
