A slightly different older view.

Have been looking at an old short film on YouTube. It was made in 1927 and though a play about Lady Godiva, begins with a short scene of Hertford Street. Nice to see a moving scene of that time. A little after, there is a street scene of medieval buildings. If you want to access the film, I searched -coventry godiva bfi-. Or you can probably get it from the BFI site.

Does this mean that Hertford St will be open, or partly open to traffic in future. If it were only one way it would be better than nothing.

No, it will still be pedestrian only.

A bit more nostalgia for those who remember it like this below. Could it be late 1950s?

Thanks Rob, why on earth couldn't they have left it alone in the first place. I can't quite make out what is written on the Owen Owen store which could give an indication of the date.
