Searching for canal family connections

I am searching for information on my direct family line. They were boat people on the canals in and around Longford, the family names are Jacques, Woodhouse (one was the publican of the Old Griffin) and Stevens. Two of the boat names were Nelly & May, and Victory in 1880 captain Thomas Jacques the owner of the two boats was William Boon registered at 16 King St, Coventry. Any information on any of the above would be most appreciated

One guy that might be able to give you first hand knowledge of Longford canal boats is no longer on this site but he can be found at this forum but his memory is patchy. Blitzkid, known here as Kaga.
