Just had a thought, what I really need, to confirm things, is Charles, Lizzie and son Stanley living at same address, Stanley married in 1929, are there any records before that date? A classic case of needing the 1921 census I think. Del.

Thanks for information Heathite. What I really need is them living together in Coventry, after 1911 and before 1929. I have them on the 1911 census at Grantham, according to street directories in local library; for the following year, someone else is living at the address, and they don't appear at Grantham again, so I think they moved to Coventry around that time. Del.

Just wondering if Charles Robinson continued as a baker after moving to Coventry, and am also wondering what line of work son Stanley was in. Are there any directories that would tell me this? Del.

I notice, with sadness, that Mr Roy Stanley Robinson, of Sandown Avenue, Coventry passed away on June 10th in his 86th year. In his obituary it states that he once worked at JJ Cash. What type of business was, or is JJ Cash?

Thanks for that, very interesting. It's really Roy Stanley Robinson's grandmother that I am interested in, although it may be an inappropriate time to be asking. She was Lizzie Robinson, maiden name Herd or Heard, born at Grantham in Lincolnshire in 1876. I have been looking for a death for her for almost ten years now. I know that she moved to Coventry sometime after 1911, with husband Charles Robinson and Roy Robinson's father Stanley. Stanley died there in 1969. A couple of possibilities for her death around the Nuneaton area, but nothing to prove that it was her. If anyone does consider this post inappropriate I will of course delete it.

If you know her date of birth, have you tried searching the 1939 register. If found, she died after, if not she either died before, left England or remarried.
