Watts family

I am looking for information on a James Watts, born in Coventry, Warwickshire, estimated to be born sometime between 1890 and 1910 or so. He married Frances Miles (or Myles) either in England or Canada. Frances Miles was from Reading, Berkshire. They had a son named Frederick Edward Watts born in 1936 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Do you know what trade James had. There is a James Watts living at 69 Far Gosford Street in 1901 and 1911. In 1911 he is listed as a plumber, son of James and Ellen. There are also several James Watts on ships manifests going to Canada. If you have any more information do you want to contact me direct.

According to FreeBMD, there were three people named James Watts born in Coventry between 1888 and 1912 inclusive. 4th quarter 1888 reference 6d 484 4th quarter 1901 reference 6d 539 2nd quarter 1908 reference 6d 554 - this last one was named James Edward Watts. The reference is what you should quote if you order a birth certificate from the certificate service at Southport. Hope that this helps Brian

I was in the same class at Stoke National and later Folly Lane School with a John Watts who lived in Kingsway. We joined the Stoke Junior Library on the same day. If he is still in Coventry he may have researched his ancestry and could help. Are you there John?
