Hi Helen, No, it was too soft and fresh for toasting. The two left might be toasted tomorrow.

Hi all, Away from all of the sadness and grief, most of us are carrying on, making the best of our situations. Pam and I were delighted when our Morrisons online groceries arrived yesterday, complete but for two items that were well substituted. So, our fridge, freezer and larder are well stocked. Pam roasted an M&S chicken today, to which was added a number of 'wonky' veg items. If I say boootiful, you know I mean beautiful. I tell you, for a poor old cancer patient lady, she is doing remarkably well. We were having a full English breaky a couple of weeks ago when her district charge nurse popped in to see how she was. No words were needed. Her view of Pam, dipping her sausage into her egg yoke, was quite enough. We are fortunate with our fab corner shop too, for bread, milk and stuff, as well as confectionery. So, that's about it for this episode. Best wishes

Another Birthday Philip? I can't believe it. You're like Brigadoon, not ageing, just appearing magically from time to time. Hope you had a great day and at least one sausage butty. Belated birthday hugs.

Morning all, Lockdown doesn't need to be all negative. During the summer-like weather that we enjoyed this spring, Pam and I were sitting outside as usual, except that Pam isn't so adapt at mountaineering to our garden seating areas, so we have adapted a flat area at the front/side. By moving our motor further down our drive, we have utilized the flatter top end with planter boxes, bolted together. We already had the chairs, so a new bench arrived. Pam, as well as me being her principle carer, may be in guarded socializing for ages yet. I do hope you like. Being at the front, it needed security protection.

This has been set up for us by our gardener team, who once they had completed the timber, planted up the boxes. They make a lovely sight. The original Janet and John seat is still there, very weathered after twenty years permanently outdoors, but remains sturdy and well used. For me, it's all so worthwhile because Pam loves it. A big thank you to our gardener team. You know what's coming next, hey! BRILL, BRILL and BRILL!!!
