Lynda Elkington

Hello everyone. This is my first post on this wonderful site. It's fantastic that people such as yourselves, and Rob in particular, take the trouble. Thank you all so much. I am trying to trace Lynda Elkington who went to Whoberley Hall School. She is the same age as me, born 1946. She left to go to a school in Allesley when she was about eight. I'll be honest: she was my first girlfriend! I'm slowly finding people from my past and I've been hesitating trying to find Lynda in case she gets the wrong idea! But I guess I'm not much of a threat to people now (actually, never was!). She lived in Brookside Avenue until she changed school. I lived in the grocery shop on the corner of Lyndale Ave and Wildcroft Road, next to the Sturmans. Any help or information would be most gratefully received. Have found 2 records: There is a Linda Y Elkington born in 1946 in Coventry. And in 1974 there is a Linda Y Elkington marrying Roy Baskerville in Coventry. May be the wrong person- it's always difficult to ascertain if you have the correct one.

Hi. Just wondering if Linda had a younger brother called Robert? I was an apprentice with Robert (Bob) Elkington during the 60's, so he may have been born 47/48?.

It's possible Mick, Can't find a Robert that would be related to the Lynda Elkington, I have, born in 1946. Only sibling with the same mother's maiden name is a possible sister, Patricia A Elkington, born 1949. But could well be. There's a Robert G Elkington born in Meriden in 1946. But can't find any siblings with matching mother's maiden names- so if that is him he may have been an only child???

I went to Frederick Bird senior school 1960 - 1964 and there was a Nigel Elkington there. Skinny little kid, always seemed like he was bullied a lot.

I remember that Grocery shop stewhem. We used to call in there on my cycle ride to Woodlands. It's housing now.
