Hi all, I enjoyed a coffee in the Belgrade, on my way to Birmingham this morning. Upon my return, I stumbled into the Earl, where I enjoyed a liquid lunch of a pint (yes, a pint) of lovely Abbot ale. A miracle took place afterwards where I was able to return home quite soberly. Anyway, tea time today is -: Peppered ham, warmed in a rich parsley sauce, with fresh carrots, broccoli & baby potatoes. I love creamy parsley sauce, I'm so looking forward to it. Hope everyone ok.

Sounds good Philip, I will send you some fresh parsley out of my garden or do you grow your own?

Well Anne, It came out of a packet, special Morrison's offer of four packets a week ago. I used full cream milk, the result was sardishously, sumptitudally, & splodooshesly, brill. In fact, I hope it gets the Annewiggy three brills award. I've enough left in the packet to make another tomorrow, so to use the ham up, with just one slice left for a sarny. No joke, I'm looking forward to tomorrow, where I will try making the sauce in the microwave..

Looks lovely, Phil, rather partial to a bit of ham and parsley sauce. If I don't make my own I use the Bisto stuff in packets but it is not so nice. Might make a bit fresh tomorrow with the fish fingers!

Hi all, It's me! Who? Yesterday, all my troubles, sorry wrong song. I did my first volunteer escort duty, since before Pam's illness well over three years ago. It's all a bit ad hoc & not properly orchestrated yet with the charity at present, Covid stopped it altogether. They sorely miss the late Frank Millar, who was brill. Anyway, it all went well, a return trip to Birmingham Q.E. Upon my return, around 2pm, I just happened to bump into the Earl, where I enjoyed a lovely chicken curry. I had the deal which included a pint of Abbot. Today is chore day at home, but all shipshape. Groceries due tomorrow morning as are the gardeners. I hope that I don't put the gardeners in the fridge & leave the groceries out in the garden. Why am I telling you this blerp? I haven't got a clue. God bless to you all. ps. Tomorrow morning with me so tied up, I've missed out on a coffee date with two of my favourite ladies. What a mistakatamaka!

Blerp is healthy. Blerp is friendly chatter that soothes the blerper and the blerpee (one who is the recipient of the blerp).

"Blerp is when you or a group of people are doing something illegal and, out of nowhere, you get caught by the police." Oh my Lol Thumbs up

So if Philip was blerping... what illegal act was he doing, such that he was nervous of being nabbed by the Old Bill? Hmmm, my Mum always warned me that anything fun was either illegal, immoral or makes you fat.

Hi Helen, Please refer to article six, sub paragraph nine, modified from 1957, to infinity. I can hear my gardeners, several gardens away, with the drone of their grass cutting machine. It sounds like one of Flash Gordon's space ships when at maximum thrust. We have such excitement here.

Hi all, I've had that many vaccinations of late, whilst enjoying my half of Abbot, it was squirting it out of both my arms.

Dentist in an hour! Actually, not too bad. A bit of treatment needed, £40 worth. Pam used to pay for everything, so it's a shock to the system me having to pay. A bit of extra homeland security, for when I'm out & about being fitted. Top secret, but it was fun seeing my pussy wandering around my home when I was in Galton Bridge yesterday. Good bins, hey! The snag with homeland security, is similar to installing a lightning conductor. I'm more likely to be hit. Security that is obvious sends out a message that we are housing the crown jewels, whereas I don't have much of value, never house cash, my few valuables are elsewhere.

Hi all, Life goes on for some of us. Twenty weeks since I last saw Pam, when she was wheeled into an ambulance outside of our home, on her birthday, only to survive another nearly four days. I miss her like crazy. Yet I'm so upbeat. My faith is so much a part of that, but that's not my motive for this post. Our forum is also so much a part of that, which is the reason for my post. I know that I'm not on my own in expressing how much our forum is valued, yet issues do arise that really test the resolve of keeping it going. I've been a member for over a decade, our forum is you, along with every other member. It's not an abstract phone or laptop. It has a heartbeat, that heartbeat is you, me & every other member. One morning, we just might wake-up & find it is no longer there. It is my hope that in the weeks to come, I might be able to delete that last paragraph.
