Having been a Courthouse Green apprentice (59-64) I must admit to finding these photos rather sad. It's good that they have been taken but would prefer to see the various shops busy producing engines. |

Nice one Les..Those photos bring back lots of memories for me, some good and some bad.i had been on the carpet a few times in the offices concerning not turning up on Friday night, or if I did turn up I had to find a really good excuse to knock off and they could tell you were'nt going to stay by the way you were dressed..

Hi Les, great to see more pics of the Morris. I remember the entrance on Blackberry Lane very well as I used it for the 18yrs I worked there. Also nice pic of Wal Blowers office. He was the first foreman I worked under as an apprentice as we had to do 6 months working on the engine assembly tracks and rectification as part of our apprenticeship. That 6 months really gave me a good insight into the workings of a car engine and enabled me to keep my old A30 van on the road. Did you manage to take any pics of the toolroom or apprentice school while you were recording these memories? Thanks again for letting these pics be seen. Cheers Bri |
