Kaga Simpson will probably know this: At what point from Tusses Bridge did the railway lines cross the road?

Thanks for that Cliff. It wasn't far from the bridge by the look of it. I travel this road a lot and have always wondered where it was because there is no sign of it being there at all. Thumbs up

The Duchess puts on a show as it passed Tile Hill a short while ago, en route to Euston. The brightness came as a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately it returns in the dark.

Norm K There was a path ran down the side of the Power Station, the train line ran down the side of that, it crossed the road right under the new roadway, exactly the foot of the bridge, someone told me there is a footpath at the right hand side of the new highway, slough side, think of four houses bridge side and you would be on the track. If you look at the word branch on the map come across the road the letter P is our two houses. Best I can explain it.

Hello to all and may I take this opportunity to wish you the very best for 2016. Sorry for no recent postings from me. Previous health issues have once again raised their head, unfortunately coinciding with accusations of 'clash of interests' between my professional and enthusiast life which got me somewhat down and frustrated. Rather than create waves I decided to step back for a while... Anyway, expect an official announcement imminently. Coventry Arena station was fully completed as per its planning approval back in September. And has sat there unused since... Bermuda Park has suffered from a number of problems along the way, the last being issues with St Georges Way, the only road from which access can currently be gained to Bermuda Park industrial estate and the few car parking spaces that have been constructed alongside the new railway station. As I have mentioned a number of times previously, the two new stations and the platform extensions are all covered by the same single project and not until all three had been fully completed (and completed can only mean in line with the previously granted planning approvals, or subsequently amended as has just happened with Bermuda Park) could the project be signed off.... The three sites would then be inspected and if all was well, approval would be given for the public to use all three sites.... Network Rail are currently planning for both Coventry Arena and Bermuda Park stations to open for public use on and from 0001 hours on Monday 11th January. One area of concern still revolves around Coventry Arena station on 'event' days, ie, football. rugby, concerts. The previous agreement was that trains would not call at the 'Ricoh' for one HOUR after the end of an 'event' due to the concerns of crushing, not surprising with the 75-seat dogbox currently in use on the Coventry to Nuneaton shuttle. This meant that only one train in each direction wouldn't call at the Ricoh... However, at a (very) recent meeting it appears that the previous mis-reporting by the media of no trains stopping at the Ricoh THROUGHOUT event DAYS may be adopted after all (Please, no I knew this was going to happen, I knew this 'years' ago stuff. This has only raised it's head again very recently, and here again I am constrained by confidentiality). However, London Midland's arguments do not hold water.... events at Villa Park can attract larger crowds. Do they attempts to strengthen trains, therefore offering additional capacity, including additional trains - Yes. Do they CLOSE the station for the WHOLE day, thereby preventing non-event passengers from using the train, which after all is a public service. Despite these days of privatisation, rail services within the Centro area are still supported by public subsidy - No. Careful Ron, you might start upsetting people again and we can't have this can we???!!!
