Hi Derrick, Don't worry, you're not alone, it's not always easy for new members to get to grips with adding images to a post. The first thing you'll need to do is upload your photo(s) using the Upload image link in the pale brown toolbar at the top or bottom of any page. Then these images can be added into a post when you next create one. For a step-by-step guide, you should find what you need in the Help page under the headings Uploading an image and then Adding an image that you've already uploaded. Best of luck! Thumbs up Rob

This photo dates from around 1953/54 based on the fact that Maureen Randle was born in 1944 and I would guess that the class are around 9 or 10 years old and be was final or penultimate year of the Junior school. Barry Hall is on the back row (2nd from right). Pete Adams (who lived at the coal merchants in Bedlam Lane; now an old people's home) is on the back row, 3rd from the left. Maureen Randle is on the middle row, 2nd from left and Mick Evans (Westminster Insurance) is also on the middle row, 3rd from the left. The girl on the front row 6th from left could be June Bigham and the lad on the back row 2nd from left could be named Atkins There are many other familiar faces but I cannot put names to them.

This photo I guess dates from 1950/51 based on the fact that my brother Allen Oldham was born December 1942 and this is still the junior school. Allen is on the 2nd row from the top, 4th in from the left. Barry Whetstone is on the 3rd row from the top, 3rd in from the right.

1953 CORNOATION PARTY These photos were taken in the Windmill Road/Longford Park Senior School hall during the 1953 Coronation celebrations of Queen Elizabeth II. I was only 2 at the time but somehow I am on both photos (dressed as a black cat). I vaguely recollect parading down the Foleshill Road, over the New Inn Bridge and down Windmill Road. The photo of the smaller children includes Maureen & Micky Toms (Back row 1st & 2nd from left, as Bo Peep & Buttons), Peter Minor (Beefeater with ER on his chest) and Derek Bull (In a Persil box) Yours truly, Derrick OIdham (Black cat, Front row 3rd from right) I think the girl (front row, 2nd from left) might be Irene Kuczynski who used to live in Arbury Avenue.

Mrs Allsop is on the back row (2nd from left) and Rhona Edwards is in front of the window.

re photo from derrickarthur on Tuesday 18th Nov 2014. You are correct, the lad on the back row is named Atkins, it is in fact John Atkins. I reckon that photo was from the class a year behind mine. I have a class photo of our class taken around the same time and will upload it when I've worked out how. John Akins married the sister of my first wife, we had a double wedding in Devon before moving back to Coventry. I have not heard from John for over 50 years.

Hi Derrick, I also went to Longford Park / Windmill road school and I think that your class photo was possibly a year above my class. But I think I know Enid Price [5th from right on front row] but will check with who I think her brother is, who was in my year. The other thing I wanted to ask is , did Gwen Harris, [6th from left in 2nd row] live in Parkstone Road, Foleshill ?
