I know what you mean Dougie but Jonny's always been careful and has always worn body armour and a headguard.

I was a very proud father on Saturday. Watching my eldest son run out at Twickenham for Farnham RFC who beat Droitwich 37-15 to win the RFU senior vase. Apologies for putting this on the Coventry RFC topic. But my son's a Coventry kid and ex-Broadstreet player and I didn't think Farnham warranted its own topic just for one post.

Wonderful news, mickw - congratulations to your son and his teammates Farnham's a lovely town and area - nearly moved there some years ago (daughter actually started at Farnham 6th Form College before the move fell through!)

Just wanted to share that I'm very proud of my eldest Coventrian son Jonny who for the second year running has been selected for the Coventry and District Schools Rugby Squad and now goes forward to trial for the full Warwickshire county side

Sad to read the news of the passing of John Gardiner, a key member of the Coventry and Warwickshire rugger teams in the days when they ruled the sport in England

My dad was groundsman at Coundon Road for a couple of years in the 60's when Coventry were one of the best teams around, I was ballboy for the games and remember some great club and county games

I was ballboy at another Warwickshire v Cornwall in the 60's when my father was groundsman and remember it was a great crowd packing Coundon Road

My grandfather was helping with the running of Dunlop Rugby Club at the time of George Cole

When I watched Warwickshire it was 14 Coventry players!!

We shouldn't forget this Coventry legend - RIP Harry Walker
