Zero is going to the freezer for an ice cream on a hot day and finding that someone has eaten the last one. That feeling is zero.

I gave up with Shrodinger's cat On reflection it could relate to Helen's ice cream experiment

Zero this morning was my chances of finding a parking space in Salt Lane car park. In company with several other motorists I drove all the way to the top without finding a space, and then all the way down again. I repeated this exercise for a second time before giving up and parking my car in the less salubrious surroundings of the Barracks carpark where there are always spaces. Lots of people about wearing suits, collars and ties plus others with flowers in their buttonholes. A combination of weddings at the registry office and a graduation ceremony at the cathedral I think.

Hello, I'm sorry for your inconvenience. What about trying the No 20 bus, or 148. With a bus pass, it's zero costs.

Philip - I do use both the 20 and the 148 buses (and the 20A sometimes), but on this occasion I was dropping off my grandson for an appointment. It is a well known fact that teenagers are unable to walk for more than a few yards, hence the unwise decision to use the nearest car park which was Salt Lane. Calm was restored with a cup of coffee and a muffin in the cafe at The Herbert.

Hello, I haven't got a clue about football, but I recognise the excitement & achievement. For years, often failing to get more than the bottom rung, yet in recent years maintaining a force to be reckoned with. Sometimes I'm in our railway room, listening to Five-Live round ups, like I was after the semi-final, me being blunt & not knowing anything, the conversations were dooming England. As good as talking them into losing. I know so little, I thought that Southgate was the entrance to the stadium. Does that help.

If you ever wondered if the scientists have their finger on the climate scales before after January, April and June all got slightly warmer after the fact.

Hello, I feel in such good spirits. My volunteering takes me further these days than when I went out & about just for pleasure, sending you pictures on here. I'm restricted somewhat by the confidentiality rules. I used my wet/dry/hot & cool route sense for today's duty. I was treated to tea & toast in Cafe Italia this afternoon, today's duty was with a friend. I say good spirits, yet what does pull me down is learning of folk on our forum who maybe going through the mill. I won't say anymore otherwise I'm venturing into personal beliefs. Try & keep cool, please. I'm airing myself after a lovely tepid shower.

Hello, Most of us enjoy a bit of banter, me often more than most, but I am reminded, that some expatriates from the UK, might have regrets about moving sixty years ago. So sometimes my jovial posts might go down like a lead balloon. I hope all of our expatriates are ok.

We are scattered all over this land Philip and I have a lot yet to see but my heart is still in merry England and always will be. With all the turmoil going on around the rest of the world at the moment I consider my family and I have been very lucky and prosperous over the past 50 yrs. As for the weather, I do miss the 4 seasons and rain or no rain my bulbs have failed me this year so I am leaving them in. Roll eyes It's 2.35 am here and I am missing my beauty sleep so I bid you goodnight.
