How much of Gosford Green was lost to Sky Blue Way? Was it mostly the Hermitage site on old maps?

Happy to be corrected Prof but I don't think any of the Green went for Sky Blue Way to go in. That went right over where All Saints Lane was and the Church itself.

Actually, Prof is quite correct about this - a helluvalot of the original green lies under what is now Sky Blue Way. This Scottish maps overlay shows that Gosford Green once extended over what is now a car park at the east end of Far Gosford Street, opposite the old Lloyd's Bank. Smile

Given that it turns the west end of the park into a traffic island and slices a layer off the south, it does lop off a significant chunk.
