Portraits of Coventry

Hi, I have recently painted a series of pictures based on conversations with people who live in Coventry. https://www.andyfarr.com/portraits-of-coventry I am making a short film and I'd like to include archive photos that relates to their stories. The film will be shown during a free exhibition in the Litten Tree Exhibition Space - I will of course credit all images used The pictures I need relate to the following: FA Cup victory Coventry Hippodrome, and pantomimes 2T Fruity - community veg shop Walsgrave Hospital (not the new one!) Coventry Blitz - Cathedral and Coventry Hospital Gigs at the 'Lanch' in the 1980s Dancing at the Locarno Any suggestions very welcome I'm on a tight schedule as the film needs to be ready by the end of October. Wonderful paintings, well done! Nice also to see the Litten Tree Building put to good use. If you haven't yet seen it, you might like to try the "Rob's pics" blue button on the left, which has over 1,400 photos & prints - some of which might be suitable for a couple of your categories above. If you require higher resolution images of any you find there, please contact me and I can email them to you. For any other images you find on this forum, the best thing is to contact each member who posted the image, who will hopefully be able to give permission to use them. The Herbert might also be able to help - they have many thousands of archive photos (on https://coventry.digital/), and I'd like to think that they'd cooperate for a project of this nature. Thanks - lots on Google - but very little that is free to use - I need to be careful of copyright and licenses as my film will be in the public domain ...

You might get more luck on facebook as you're looking for personal photos that people can allow you copyright. The images are within the advent of affordable cameras. I'm trying to acquire old images and specifically ones as early as possible so that they're out of copyright. 80 years after the death of the artist/photographer. Not that it seems to stop some of the photo sales sites as I'm sure that I've seen stuff they've harvested from somewhere else they haven't asked.
