The first Stock Car meeting at Coventry Stadium, with heat one being won by Percy 'Hellcat' Brine.
I only ever went to see a couple of stock-car races, but I do remember cheering on the well known Willie Harrison when I was a young lad taken to Brandon by my dad. Let's all hope that the place will one day soon open again for two and four wheel racing. |
