Artist's impression how could they?

Your photo of the work so far doesn't look like they're going to use glass Prof. The metalwork is just to stop the top falling over. If there was any bit that wouldn't have survived the removal I'd have thought it would be the base.

So what do you make of the colouring on the base?

Sandstone coloured (albeit in concrete). The bit you can see over the fence isn't in the artist's impression at all but looks a lot like the original base. Whether there are glass panels out of sight I can't say.

Yes, well, so long as they don't make it to look too modern. I like to see these sort of things as they were originally for future generations to see. Hope you are 'still mending well' Prof.

Based on Anne's video the little trefoil windows don't look too bad. Whether they stop at that is another matter.
