C Vignoles had something to do with railpads, the things between the sleeper and the track. So maybe a transport link as Ferodo are brake pad manufacturers, and Gregory Avenue is very near Coat of Arms bridge.

Yes Herbert Frood founded the Ferodo Braking Company in 1897 It was his idea to market his company to place their name on prominent road/rail bridges around the country, including the one on London Road.

Gregory objected to the construction of a railway bridge through his land but eventually agreed to sell the land, in 1843, provided it bore his family's coat of Arms.
