The wreaths in the Memorial are normally left there for at least a few days - especially as today was the 11th? |

By contrast, Bedworth as 'the town which never forgets' held the annual Armistice Day service and parade at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month - as it always has done. There are some good photographs in today's Coventry Telegraph - can somebody help me and post a link please? |

Peter B, thanks for posting the Bedworth link for me. I realise that Bedworth is not part of Coventry (although the planners are fast filling in any gaps with houses) but it is important to show that the people of this country do remember those who perished in war. |

I hope you don't mind Prof, but the postcard of "The Grove" is now the one from my collection, too - it's much larger and easier to view than the small image you found on't 'net, so I swapped it! (Same with the Priory Street Baths image.) |

If any member of the forum would like to take a walk up to the Grove, stand in the similar position to the photographer - look very closely at the tree tops rightish and centre back and identify the two branches with the 'kinks' near the top. Surely they cannot be the same trees???? I wonder how much trees of this kind develop in 100 years. Do I need to continue taking my pills?? |

Probably safer to use Google-Maps today Harrier - but some of them quite probably are! |

Strangely enough the Google map Rob mentions does seem to give the same kink in the tree tops! Can they be the same? Question |
