Unfortunately Helen I haven't got a copy of that one Helen. I have the ones he wrote before, Spon End, a family viewpoint and Spon Street, a family viewpoint, both of which mention that one. I don't think I will be buying it though as it seems to be on sale for £59.00!! Looks interesting though. |

Thanks Helen, that would be good if you can come across one some time. The one on Abebooks is at Astley Book Farm which is where we usually go when places are open. I think I would still have put it back on the shelf at that price. They don't have any copies at the Coventry Family History Society either. |

Another Buckingham shop on ebay
This one a tea room but with cakes in the window. Also in the window a reflection of ELECTRIC PICTURE PALACE. Does that fit the Earlsdon location? There was one on Hertford Street but no reference to the shop. |

Helen, The Buckingham Cosy Corner tea rooms and the Electric Picture Palace were both in Hertford Street. The tearooms were at no. 24

HNY everyone! Apols, been offline for a while for some downtime. One for Heathite, perhaps Helen and the directories?
And to add another - I've an idea we've seen this one before but cannot recall what was the outcome. It's cropped up on FB - New Buildings/Palmer Lane?

That picture is looking north up St Agnes Lane Neil. There's a copy in the library and another closer to the top.
Thanks Heathite. I couldn't place it either. The features on the very right of the photo aren't familiar for an inner Coventry location. |

Helen this one is looking over towards St Michael's but from where? SW from somewhere around New Buildings? I don't recognise that large property on the left?

I think it's back to front. It's a similar view to one posted by CliffB of Celia's which we agreed was probably taken from the Victoria Works. Celia's is the older photo.

I know where it is Neil, I spotted it yesterday but I'll let a few others have a guess. |
