Wonderful to see you back scrutiny, we've missed you! I might have some white cabbage this evening in your honour! When I had mumps, aged 8, all I got was a week off school and a memory that it hurt whenever I tried to eat due to the swollen glands!

Hi scrutiny, you just can't leave this forum, like most of us it's addictive to Coventry kids. Good to hear from you, yours was the first post to welcome me when I joined this forum. I think it was scarlet fever I had had, sent me to that hospital, but I was in a ward full of kids, I thought we all had the same illness

Whitley Hospital (1985?)

Wasn't this once referred to as Whitley Isolation Hospital. My son was admitted there when he was just a month old, all because he was a greedy baby. Burp !

I was taken there in isolation as a child because it was supposed that I had contracted Meningitis, but IIRC it turned out to be Mumps ! I vaguely remember my Family visiting and looking through Glass at me. We all seem to recall unpleasant memories.
