Prof, Another fine shot, but oh how it lacks a date. Before the war there were no railings, and younger trees, so I would place this the fifties or even later? But what a beautiful spot to sit and dream, right in the heart of the city. Thank you.

On the "Now & Then" section, Rob shows Prof's image as a 1907 postcard

Midland Red. Exactly, I knew they were there right back in the thirties, but some were missing, then some disappeared during the blitz, but Prof's picture didn't show the clothes as your pictures, so could not judge the date, so I said after the fifties because I have no idea of the scene after the fifties.

With the clarity of the first photo MR, it becomes very atmospheric and kind of brings those boys to life. It intrigues me to know who they were and what became of them. Spellbinding!

Wearethemods, The trees in Prof's picture I would think are around ten years older, and they all look too big for the trees in the blitz. Yes, I would say about a few years before WW1.

15th Century Angel, Coventry Cathedral Aiden McRae Thompson

The first thing that struck me when I saw those pictures was now I could remember the beautiful colourings of those windows inside the church when the sun shone. The history of the city was there for all to see, how many centuries had people come to pray in this church.
