By 1960 there was a huge roundabout in the middle, the bus shelters on the left had gone and Ringway St John had been completed.

Short Street in 1948. The cyclists are presumably leaving the Armstrong Siddeley factory in Parkside headed for Much Park Street. The east side of Short Street was cleared very early in the century so is not the result of German bombing.
