Hats off to Anne for the clue as to where to look.
The 1910 directory does not put Terraces in the alphabetically listed streets. So Albany Terrace could have been in many areas.
Below, it is listed along Butts in between #43 & #47.
Therefore I conquer (concur) with Anne

You beat me to it, Heathite
Windsor Street was created after 1888, Anne, you were right the first time. It must have been a stretch running along the north side of Butts with Windsor Street not quite in the middle. It's there in the 1926 directory.
Start with Hope Street running west, you go through 37 Butts to 43 when number 1 Albany Terrace starts. Then there's a random 54 but it should be number 2. This may be because it was already there when they built the terrace. 3 and 4 are one shop. 5, 6, 7 and Windsor Street on the right. 8 to 12 and then Butts restarts with 47, 48 and 49 the Summerland Tavern. |

Thanks to my friend Dean Nelson on FB. Don't think we've seen this one before. Interesting as it shows the row on the north side of the Butts (though it's mid-demolition) where the Russell Arms was. I think the pub had gone by then as according to Fred's section it closed in '68.

I do believe the Butts was well known for its 'big puddles'. The roads must have been shocking. |

Another cracker from Dean Nelson on FB. Windsor Street looking south towards Butts. The figure on the right is just walking over where the street crossed the Sherbourne. Opposite that on the left was the turn into Trafalgar Street.

MR, post #3, sad demolition! In St Thomas's Church I sang in a quartet with 'Inky' Wells, the Latin master at Jnr Tech, one Easter, Bach ~"Jesu, priceless treasure". |

Nice one Neil. Yes, the pub in 1887 didn't have bay windows but in 1905 it did. I think that it's the same building, but the front garden has been removed and the bay windows built. |
