Just for comparison with my photo a couple of posts ago, this early 20th century postcard view:

Intrigued by the clock in the previous post, I found another view from the same era:
The design of the clock appears different |

It's deceptive MR. The bulb of the pipe in the second photo merges with a chimney in the background. Colourization of black and white photos was also very iffy and open to contradiction. The clock goes from black to brown! |

Philip, also known as the Bunny Run. It was a ritual where teens of the opposite sex walked in opposite directions around the streets eyeing each other up. |

Thanks Bohica. I think I must have skipped to bed after I posted and should have explained to Philip. A little before his time I expect. In my later days we used to frequent the cafe for a Vienna steak and chips and a cuppa from the big man's giant metal teapot. Happy Days |

Well, would you Adam and Eve it..... 12 and a half years ago, the Bunny Run was one of the very first topics we discussed! Nice to know what the forum's early mind-set was! |

Wearethemods, you are a gem, thank you for reminding me. I remember they closed upstairs off after a time as it was declared unsafe. How on earth did I forget the cafe name???? |
