This is a walk from St John's church to the Lady Godiva statue in Broadgate showing Lidice Place / Lidice Memorial, Lower Precinct inc. the Cullen Mural and the Spinning Cafe (it's a running joke on the True Coventarian fb group if you are wondering, as is the "Coventarian" part of the group title ), Upper Precinct inc. Naiad (no water running at the time of morning I filmed) and finishing at Lady G. Enjoy.

Lovely to see George Wagstaffe was at the unveiling. Apparently this is the girl she is based on, with George, whom he met on holiday in Cornwall in 1957.

It's a cool story and she does look like Naiad. Apart from the lower legs of course He was at the "Art in the Orchard" event a few weeks previously which I filmed at Coundon Hall Park - didn't know what he looked like then or I would have said hello.

I think it was Batts.

In the round cafe photo, which was 1963 and obviously taken before the erection of C&A/Mercia House and the demolition of the pub etc. in the distance, the Lower Precinct had Fennells, etc. and Gibberds with the Pancake Parlour virtually above on the l/h side but nearer the upper Co-op entrance. Which side is the H&M store now at?

Hello, I am looking for more information about this building - 19 Market Way.
All I currently know is that it used to be a gas showroom, catalogue store and Smith's Carpets. Does anyone know of when it hosted these stores? What the interior is/was like? Would also be amazing to see any images of the interior, exterior or any street views it may appear in.
Thanks in advance!
