And here is the finished version - on display in Broadgate next to Lady G for today only (5 July). Not sure what they are going to do with it - will possibly be donated to a local hospital to display permanently. |

A mix of tags - some better than others - and a couple of impressive bits of art in amongst them. Looks like some Polish artists have contributed at the Black Pad end. |

Save it to Saved it! ... the earliest bit of "street art" I remember seeing in the city was at Starley Road in the late 1970s. |

DANK (Dan Kitchener) is creating a slice of Japan at Well Street / Bishop Street. A Coventry built taxi is at the heart of the mural. He's a big hitter on the street art scene so great to have him working here. Had a good chat with him; especially about his murals in the Shankill area of Belfast where I lived for a while. I'd actually posted a pic of one of them in the main Coventry cultural / arts fb group and posed the question about Cov getting a taxi themed mural ... lo and behold just over a month later and here he is painting a mural with a taxi in it This one should be finished tomorrow (Sat 7 August) but deffo by Sunday. Elsewhere there is a HUGE mural going up on the wall of the New Union Street car park - the part closest to the dome / ring road. That is being done by NOMAD CLAN and features a burning pocket watch at the heart of it. Again, should be finished this weekend. Will film them both again when finished.
At least 6 more murals in City Centre locations are coming soon including one on the side of the West Indian Club in Spon Street which will celebrate Afro-Caribbean culture |

Super artwork there, by obviously extremely talented artists. And you, too, BrotherJoybert, are obviously having a very positive effect for our City of Culture year. |
