Oldest first - so I assume it's the order they were entered on the system rather than when they were photographed. |

This shows the bowling greens (middle left) in Gosford Park, also the bandstand on Gosford Green (not Gosford Park).

We don't disagree as to the location. So the map is wrong.

That looks perhaps like a map rather older than the subject images.
This is from the 1934 Warwickshire CBA Yearbook.
Stoke BC was formed in 1924 as a flat and crown green club, and played at Gosford Park, alongside Gosford Park BC and Printing Trades BC, before moving to the C&NW ground on Binley Road in 1932 and later to Occupation Road.
These dates seem more relevant than your map.

The map was 1937 and had been updated from 1926 where there were no bowling greens at all but yes MR, the details weren't always up to date. |

Quick question everyone. Would a visit to my office to see equipment and archives interest a small group of visitors from HCF?

That would be very interesting Ben but I'd probably be too difficult to co-ordinate. I hope to visit some time after my roof is done but that's subject to the weather. I'll flag up when I'm going to be in the city but it will be a while. |
