Great pictures, PeterB. Where is that stretch of canal ?

Johnwright, The view is from near the top of Freehold Street looking towards the southernmost Stoney Stanton Road bridge. Websters Brickworks chimney would have been in the photo last year. The fox is just the other side of the bridge opposite Leicester Causeway. I suspect he felt safe with the canal between us! Peter

I saw this grey wagtail along the canal today (near Grindle Road). I thought it looked unusual so I identified it from the photo using the RSPB bird identifier. Apparently they are on the RSPB Red list for animals in serious decline. Peter.

I was at the Castle Grounds for lunch today. Here's the view from the window. My friends and I were celebrating the start of my 74th year.
