Hi all
Hello Digger & welcome to our forum.
Next Friday, after waiting in for a Ringtons home delivery, I hope to board the Ninky-Nonk at the Ricoh, & travel to Nuneaton for the purpose of a Wale's fish & chips dinner. Using my railcard, the return fare is £2.40, so that will hardly break the bank, hey. It's not cheap at Wale's, two dinners will cost maybe £14 but what price is a bit of quality now & again. My tum is rumbling now Digger with just the thought of it. I will have to starve myself the previous day, if I am to cope with a large cod, chips, mushy peas & bread & butter.

Hi Mayjan
The actual address is
42 Bond St, Nuneaton CV11 4DA
Arriving by the No 48 bus into the Nuneaton bus station, there is a walk way that leads directly out of the bus station, using a footbridge over the river, into Bond St. It is then slightly to the left & on the opposite side of the road.

To get away from my own territory of Westwood Parish this morning my friend and I escaped across the border to Allesley and, in particular, Allesley Park's walled garden.

Hi all
As usual, I enjoyed a lovely Belgrade breaky time this morning, which was all the more a delight as a forum member joined us. I was back home, when at 2pm, my message ping-pong went off on my phone to tell me that a parcel had arrived at the Argos pick-up point. Off I set again to collect my parcel, yet I am back home to watch Fed' win at Wimbledon.
This is just how good public transport is in Coventry, I used the Ninky-Nonk as well as a couple of buses.
Half of the battle of using public transport is knowing how to use it. I am somewhat fearful for the future & politics of public transport, which I believe peaked in 2013. One up for me is the opening of the Ricoh station which if the service is increased to 30 minutes instead of hourly, will be fab. |

Easy question. What is it and where is it? (It's definitely not the start of the stairway to heaven ) Question |

It looks like one of the stairways for the new multi-storey carpark at Warwick University.

It looks very odd stood on its own - they've just started building a second and much wider one. |

They started the student place next to the Belgrade the same way. I'm guessing that it's easier to build the concrete stairs with an open side without the rest of the building getting in the way. Also, I suppose that it's important that the stairs are a separate structure, that can stand without the rest of the building. |

The main part of the building will be a steel framework with concrete beams forming the floors. Building the stairs first has a number of advantages:
- You have easy access to shutter and pour the concrete.
- The workmen can use the stairs to access the rest of the building while it is being built.
Regards,
Peter. |

Have just uploaded a mass of my recent 'street' photographs to flickr. If anyone needs a copy of individual files please use the contact button to get in touch. Presently I have around only half the pictures I need to complete the project. Still working on it.
