Lovely photo's everyone. Hope to see some of Spring soon.
Daffs and crocuses maybe ?
Here in Cornwall we haven't had any snow and it's not all that cold at the moment, and we have fields full of daffodils, on the local news last night they showed them being picked already, which is very early. |

Lets all stay safe during the snow. As i write this, the snow has already started (Thursday 19.10) and is already settled on the road and paths. Only go out if you really need to, and make sure older people next door or friends are o.k. The weather report is not looking to good for us at the moment, and snow is due all over the weekend. I know it's said every time it snows, but really only travel if you must. Keep safe, and keep warm. P.S - Its snowing on Google earth.
Always looking forward to looking at the past.

I hope you got royalties from John Lewis! Quite clearly the inspiration for their latest ad campaign!
Snow's getting just a bit too thick now. I love it, but for people getting home etc it's a nightmare. I live at the top of Allesley Park and we've already had people needing to be pushed up the hill. If it carries on much longer it'll be like in the early 90's, with no-one able to get of the estate.
But one great thing about is I get to see loads of birds out of the window. Don't usually get many on my bird table, but they all come when there's snow. 6 blackbirds, 2 wagtails, a robin, a sparrow, a blue tit, some starlings and a pigeon so far. Last two snows we've had a dunnock too, but sadly not thus far. |

Too right Norm, the wife was laughing her head off, said I looked like a yeti. My gloves froze to the sticks so I left the sticks where they were. Told the wife I was using them as a slalom, she didn't buy it. |

Hi all,
I do enjoy the community spirit which is characteristic of our cul-de-sac, here in Holbrooks. All of our drives & the roadway turning circle were clear of snow at ten this morning, but now look. I will have to cart Pam to work in the wheelbarrow in the morning if this keeps on.
