AEI Coventry WWII Employee list

Hello Friends Does anyone know whether an employee list exists for AEI Coventry for during the World War II years? Or for that matter before and after the war? Best wishes for 2026 to you all

And to you All sorts of data sometimes gets saved and archived somewhere. That may include payroll (which is how staff names would probably be recorded). Whether there is a collection of AEI payroll data is another matter and wartime records may be still too recent to be free from confidentiality issues. The Coventry Collections search is currently unavailable, which is somewhat limiting. You could contact the Herbert to see if they have anything helpful. The National Archives didn't bring up anything useful. You might try a wider search than Coventry on Google eg https://collection.sciencemuseumgroup.org.uk/search?q=aei this museum came up. A search in the other towns/cities where AEI were based might be fruitful, especially wherever the HQ was. There are other ways to garner some employee names eg company magazines sometimes include sporting and hard work awards, club membership, department heads etc. Some of that might end up in the news papers.
