In researching my family members I see that the Coates family had property in Butcher's Row immediately prior to 1900. I believe the females were involved with parasol repair - their property had an umbrella hanging outside in the Frith photographs, whilst the chaps were master sweeps. Does anyone have a photograph of the family premises?

Hi Bjorn, welcome to the forum Wave There are quite a few pictures of the street scene with the umbrella. On the Butcher Row topic here and at Coventry Digital here. And some even better ones from before the shop opened.
