Morning all
My next job is to replace the rickety fence on platform two. Since the platform is supported on a zig-zag RSJ, typical for that kind of location, it will cope with the weight of a brick wall, so a pile of bricks are on their way from eBay. Honest!
Might arrive Saturday. |

Hi all
The footbridge crossing Central Six is in the news just now, so with that in mind, on our railway, folks living in Hawks Mill have long complained of the long detour to reach Hounds Hill bus stops, the church & first school. We now have a footbridge, nearly complete once I have a tin of blue enamel top coat to finish the centre box section. Hope you like.

Hi all
Another new arrival at Longford Park, Shearing's bus parked up.
Just realised that I didn't post our completed footbridge with the centre box section welded to the sides.

Lovely Philip, I love the thatchwork, it looks as if someone has left the light on upstairs in the attic, and may I ask, when did the Tardis land? A pleasure to see. |

Very good question Dreamtime. Is Philip one of the Doctor's incarnations? It would explain a lot. |

Hi all
Pam wants you to see her new toy for her railway. We both hope you like - you will, you will.

Pam was obviously as keen on D Di's ice creams as I was. Those were the days. |

I absolutely concur, as you would expect!
That wonderful ice cream is a distant memory now. There is only one place I know that produces a comparable product and that is an ice cream parlour in Blackpool where they have never needed to produce more than the one flavour.
Even after all these years I still call ice cream 'D-Di'. As does my daughter, who is too young to remember those red and cream vans. She lives in Bristol where nobody has any idea what she is talking about! |
