I spent many an hour in there searching for old Prog rock albums by the likes of Blodwyn Pig, Camel and Caravan! I always thought Earlsdon high street would be a good place for a record/CD shop... The current retail offering there is... odd.
Hits & Misses became Magic Mushroom - a sort of 'head shop' with clothes & incense, and then Found Nation - which was more dance based music. I bought TONS of Prog in there cheap between 1976 - 2002 ! I remember the Fennells in Earlsdon high st - up the top. They had loads of original rare albums in the back they bought out and sold cheap when they closed c1977. I bought some John Mayall and Cream albums - original 60s pressings ! Oh my There was also Oblivion Records in Earlsdon high st during the early 80s, run by Graham Bradshaw who also sorted the Burnt Post Folk Club and did PA hire. Was new & secondhand but only open for a couple of years.

Ah yes... Spin-a-Disc... I remember that well from when I was a student at Cov Uni from 1998 to 2001. It had a huge selection but there were definitely some odd looking album covers that appeared to have been printed on a HP Deskjet 890C. And why was everything on wheels? Curious.

I don't think so - he lived in Earlsdon and was involved in music (playing, promoting, managing etc.) He still does the CD stall at the Warwick Folk Festival.

Crikey! There's a name I never thought I'd hear again, I've no idea what she's doing or where she is now .... but we did date on and off back in the days (mostly off as I recall) Lol

Forgot I had this one! Blush Paynes electrical showroom and record shop on the corner of Gosford Street and Whitefriars Lane taken around 1959/60. It was very short-lived being sub-let for another use soon after and finishing up as a cafe. The TV repair shop tucked away behind it in Whitefriars Lane was much more successful, surviving for as long as I can remember. The butcher's shop to the right of the showroom is now the Whitefriars Inn:
