I'm so sorry. Really I am.
I couldn't wait any longer. I sneaked with a colleague to Jenny's for breaky this morning. |

That's OK Philip.... it's not compulsory to starve before the main event - putting practise in is always a good idea! |

Oh thank you Rob.
I only had fried egg, bacon, sausage, tomato, blackpudding, mushrooms, served with toast & beautiful creamy coffee. The coffee free with any breaky order before 11.

Hi Neil,
I'm tempted to say Kremlin clearance needed for such info, but it's in the middle of Nuneaton bus station. I've used it for decades, so whilst Nuneaton cafes have come & gone, Jenny's has been consistently there. It's very reliable, it's not the Ritz or Masterchef, but it feeds a hungry tum very nicely. |

Happy Birthday, Philip
I can't top Jo's sparkly announcement. Isn't she great at recalling special occasions? I'm only 50/50 remembering my own birthday, never mind anything else.
I hope that you've got something nice planned. Birthday hugs. xxx |

Thank you for your well wishes & birthday greetings. Oh I do love hugs.
Last Tuesday was 300 days since Pam passed away, this birthday, my first without Pam, yet I'm still here. Make no mistake, I can't believe how well I am in myself, but to explain that demonstrates the kindred spirit of our forum, as well as issues of my faith which is beyond our forum remit. Maybe a hint at Easter.
Thank you all so much. |

Hi all, it's me,
As unaccustomed as it is for me to yatter about food, after a morning's chapel cleaning, I ventured along to the Playwright Cafe at the Coventry canal basin. I may have mentioned this venue before, but the quality of my thick cooked ham, fried eggs & chunky chips dinner was ace. Washed down with a strawberry milk shake made with cream, it was like being on holiday.
Good old Coventry.
Of course, I arrived on bus. |

Hi all,
I'm so grateful for the existence of our forum. Our forum is you & every member.
It's a discipline too. It forces some order into my lifestyle, that many widows & widowers lack when faced with a new set of circumstances.
Our model railway which I love, our forum forces a discipline on that. Few modellers would dream of doing Coventry, most choose idyllic settings in the west country or the like, so whilst my intent was to create an impression of Coventry when I started this model over twenty years ago, that could have easily changed, but I'm so glad that it hasn't.
Carry on Coventry, carry on forum! |
