Since this will be my first breakfast bash, if you see a white bearded old guy, looking bemused, wandering though the bar asking "is this Timothy Whites?" it will probably be me.

I'm glad that I wasn't footing the bill for this lot!
It was so exciting!
Not only gratitude to the bill payers, but also to our star server Bev. Sorted the orders out as always.
It was lovely meeting new faces too. A digital administrator, organist & Kv8 memories.

'Twas a lovely meet-up indeed, and super to meet another of our members, Ray (Choirboy), for the first time. Big thank you to Derek (Robthu) for the very kind treat for us all, and special thanks to Ben (bk) for such an interesting visit to his place of work, surrounded by thousands of fascinating photos of our past and some amazing (and expensive) optical machinery for converting these gems into something with which the people of Coventry can share our past. |

I echo what others have written. Smashing company! Big hugs all round. I'd write more but my head is playing the trade test transmission and I'm losing the game of noughts and crosses with the doll. |

Hi all,
For all of the loveliness of all of our forum members, the special treat for me was meeting & sitting by, my special lady friend who had travelled from the Warrington area.
Special, because she rendered such support & loveliness when I really needed it nearly 700 days ago.
Our forum, with that kind of care is twice the size, simply because of our membership who care. I'm privileged to see so much from the team, as well as those who give such energetic support to the team, just how much backroom caring goes on. Like when members are absent for a while or the like.
Thank you & please carry on. |

Many thanks for breakfast and being able to put faces to noms de plume. It was great meeting you all. I look forward to another event when I can be the host. Thank you Ben for showing the work behind coventry.digital. At very short notice my son (also Ben) was asked to help with a project for Coventry City of Culture. You can see the result at https://benglover.net/portfolio/coventry-moves-together/. Ben was born deaf but received his cochlear implant when he was 2 years in 1994. Much of his work involves searching photo archives to find material. |

I love hearing of youngsters receiving the cochlear implants meaning they are moving with the times and getting ahead for themselves. Good Luck
always Ben. |

Dear all
Thank you for the chance to show you the office and to get your feedback on moving forward with Cov Dig. I'm planning a Saturday at the Cov Archives in May, where I shall install equipment and, with your help, plan what from their holdings should be digitised and in what order. I'm hoping that at least a couple of Saturdays a month from then on.
And thank you for the gifts - unnecessary but most welcome. b p kyneswood

It wasn't far off the record, Neil. I think in the early days we had a couple of brekkies with 14 or 15 of us. Since the Covid kerfuffle though, it dropped off a lot, so it was lovely to have such a lively turnout of 13 altogether. |

Hi, Rob. It might be really useful if some of the hometown Coventrians could recommend places for out of town Coventrians to eat. We've found it a bit hit and miss in the past and would be glad of some help. We'll be home in June and are looking for somewhere for a Sunday brunch where we could book to seat 12. We'd rather not have to deal with the hassle of driving and parking in the city but somewhere on the perimeter would be great. Thanks. |
