Hi, and thank you too, Tricia,
Another bit of good news for Pam and I is that my brother-in-law is being discharged from the George Eliot today. He is not out of the woods, but at least more at home. |

Hi all
Anyone reading our forum posts might be tempted to think that I always eat out. It may surprise you to know that as well as my Pam's culinary delights, my culinary delights are very extensive. I am a dab-hand with our toaster, I must insist. Mondays (today) are more often than not my chore housework day and so it is now. I am waiting for a delivery this morning too, but my hard graft is now rewarded by a round of toast and marmalade, coffee, and sunshine streaming down where I am sitting outside. Sometimes, the simple things in life (they do not come much more simple than me) are just spot on. Anyway, must press on, it's a hard life, this retirement thing. |

I was not born to fish, but you might have a laugh at this photo of me in Mevagissey when I was about nine.

Hi Philip. Mevagissey brings back memories for me. You are so fortunate to have photos at that age, nobody seemed to have a camera in those days.
They look like a brace of mackerel you have there, I bet it wasn't long before they were sizzling away in the pan

Hi all
My Pam goes to the "end of the world" to cheer me up at times when she knows that I am sad. The proof is often in her home baking.
Too hot to touch, fresh out of the oven, sausage rolls and Coventry God cakes. Roll on tea time.

Happy Birthday from me too Philip, may you have many more to come. Hope Pam bakes a wonderful cake for you, you can put as many candles on to what age you feel and I know that won't be that many. Have a great day. |

Hi all & thank you,
It's turning out to be quite nice, with the drift of baking smells coming from the kitchen.
I like the older than me bit, Annewiggy!
