Hi all
No change for Pam. The investigation continues, that as a clinician explained, it might be a needle in a haystack, but it has to be found. She is much better in herself though and is in no pain. |

Hi all
Still no change for my Pam. The search goes on at Walsgave, looking for an ever smaller needle in a haystack it appears. She is very well in herself, in fact the best she has been for ages. A very trying time for all our family and friends. Thank you all for your kindness and well wishes. |

Hi all,
Pam is home, but faces an arduous uphill struggle. Please remember in your prayers. God specialises in things thought impossible, the hymn that comes to mind. |

Morning all
Thank you Helen. Thank you too MR for keeping the weather thread going as well as other forum duties.
This week starts like I cannot remember a week starting, mixes of apprehension and so on. Last week was full of surprises, many of them awful, but we are still here, facing what comes. Pam and I do feel uplifted by the cordialness of friendship, in fact we are in very good spirits.
We cannot do miracles, but I did ask the surgeon who consulted us on Saturday to put off any idea of emigrating for a while. He has a measured plan of action for us, so our hope is that our wheels stay on as the plan opens up. My entire working life was based on measured plans of action, trying to avoid surprises, being the dread of any accountant, good or bad. Surprises usually meant a change of plan, or more work.
We could live in lot of places that don't have the facilities like Coventry, with a teaching hospital. Good old Coventry. Even my volunteer escorting is a boon for me. I can reach the hospital from our home in 40 minutes on a dry day, or an hour on a wet day.
So Pam and I face this week with a sense of the warmth and cordial support from our friends, many from our forum.
PS. Folk often say that we choose our friends, but for Pam and I, they choose us. What a goal!

My thoughts are with you and Pam, Philip. People complain about the NHS but when it comes down to it they are there for us. You will get things sorted. X |

Morning all
Pam remains very weak and poorly. I am unable to leave her as she tries to do things, but hasn't the energy, so please excuse my absence. She awaits the green light for treatment to start at UHCW. I will let everyone know when that green light shines.
Thanks to everyone for your kindnessess. We take each day as it comes. Am totally out of flower vases and spaces to put them.
Love
Philip.
