And best kept that way, we don't want to see local headlines about an arrest in the Holbrooks area!
But seriously, I hope you get well quickly and stay well a long, long time. |

It gives a new meaning to shake a leg, hey! Now, where did I put my valve?
Thank you. |

Hi all
I have not been doing much venturing out of late, but I do hope to at least enjoy some soft out and about trips very shortly. I am so missing walking and visiting. I do at least have my yellow bag packed and ready. What a coincidence, a Facebook chum, who I have never physically met, is coping the same as I am, I have learnt this morning, but he is being treated at Warwick.
This new experience for me has focussed my thoughts on just how fortunate I am to have the use of our forum, along with other social media. I often relive experiences from the the past, from around where I live, by reading the posts, looking at maps and so on.
Last evening I locked onto a Cornwall Walks website, similar to our Coventry Walks website, which was fun. That really put the clocks back for me. If any of you are interested in a particular geographical area, please look to see if there is a local walk or ramble society, as the details given on the walk descriptions brings them alive. I followed the route of one walk near to Port Isaac, where the trail led past a farm called "Poltreworgey". A name in itself, but that was where I spent my first night ever in Cornwall, about 1952. My mum and a relative had gone to look at business opportunity.
A Port Isaac Walk.
The above link has little to do with Coventry, but I have included it for those who love looking at maps, as well as the place names. "Poltreworgey", I ask you!!

Easter, April Fool's Day and your birthday all in one. How would you celebrate all that in one go? Hope it was a good one. |

Hi all
I had a lovely treat yesterday afternoon. Enjoyed Sunday lunch at the Red Lion in Corley. It was fab. It gets even better. You see, I have a lovely friend who was celebrating her eightieth birthday, also an April 1st birthday. So nearly thirty of us were gathered. It was lovely.
A loving mum and dad, with their three daughters.

A very pretty cinnabar moth. I couldn't believe it wasn't very rare the first time I saw one. Their caterpillars have black and yellow striped onesies. |

Hi all
Good news for me, is that I am at last free of a catheter, discharged as job complete, other than a monitor of my water-works performance in August. On my concern list are all our members who have health issues, secret or otherwise. Get well MR, Sir. |
