Hi all
One thing you may not have noticed about me is that one of my favourite aspects of life is eating. I was once asked by a student, what my favourite subject at school was. I told them dinner hour.
Having enjoyed a historical event to day, my Pam decided to continue the historical theme and our evening meal this evening was finished off with school rice pudding. I like thick rice pudding where the milk has all cooked away and I can scrape the oven dish, but for a change, today's was cooked on top of the cooker, the grammar school way. I always received top marks for dinner hour at school. |

Hi all
Our site here is not a commercial site, BUT, a big but, a rare event takes place every other Friday at our home. A man & his van come from Ringtons. Not Davenports that used to, or the pop lorry, or the bread or the veg man. We still have Ringtons.
Hope you like. |

Thats amazing Philip, although I don't think the delivery man looks too happy - maybe he isn't getting paid to smile! |

Hi Tony
He should be happy, the amount that I buy from him, as I am his agent for the rest of our family.
PS. I have had email clearance from Ringtons to include the picture. What a pip |

Philip, my dear old dad recently send me a copy of a family DVD from the 1980s and guess who's on there eating mince pies - you (Pam is on there as well). it was a bit emotional because there were images of my mother as well. If I remember correctly, you played the organ at her funeral. |

Hi Bryn
Gosh, that is a lovely post and thank you so, so much. The church was packed. There was a piano accompaniment as well as the organ. It was a very moving service, with a depth of feeling that was true. The singing would rival many a choir. During the hymn "Jesus shall take the highest honour" neither the pianist nor I could see what we were doing, it was just as well that we knew it. I am sure that the singing could be heard in Wales! |
